We work to protect civic freedoms, including freedom of association, assembly, and expression. This involves reviewing and reforming laws affecting civil society organizations (CSOs) to ensure they operate in a fair and enabling regulatory environment.

ILLD also facilitates platforms for citizen engagement in governance processes. We design participatory models—such as community dialogues, citizen assemblies, and participatory budgeting—that bring diverse voices into decision-making and foster trust between communities and state institutions.
